Jacques VerduinBiographyJacques Verduin, Director of the Insight Prison Project, is a husband, father, teacher and community organizer. At San Quentin, he is pioneering innovative approaches to in-prison rehabilitation, running 18 weekly programs for the prisoners. He works as a collaborative partner of the Dept. of Corrections and Rehabilitation in the effort on prison reform in Sacramento. He served 12 years on the faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. In July 2005, the Insight Prison Project was the organization chosen from a field of 285 to receive the San Francisco Foundation Community Leadership Award of $20,000.
